If your company earns bitcoin but pays expenses in Mexican pesos, you need a practical way to move between the two. You may also want to buy bitcoin for your company's treasury or arrange a larger transaction with personal support.

Aureo's business account application gives you a clear starting point. Send a short request, choose how you want to be contacted, and work with an account executive to complete onboarding.

A simpler start, with personal support

Aureo makes it easier to open a business account. Your executive helps you understand the requirements, gather documents and complete the necessary checks.

The support continues after approval. You have a contact for account questions and help coordinating your needs. Business customers also receive preferential service from Aureo's OTC desk for assisted bitcoin purchases and sales.

Opening the account is free, with no required trading volume or number of transactions. Fees for individual trades are separate.

Using bitcoin for business in Mexico

The account can support Mexican companies, international businesses operating in Mexico, and freelancers living here who work through their own legally constituted company.

  • Convert business bitcoin into pesos. An international company can sell bitcoin to obtain pesos for its Mexican operating expenses.
  • Use bitcoin income locally. A freelancer-owned company that receives bitcoin from clients can convert part of those earnings into pesos for business needs.
  • Build a bitcoin treasury. Buy bitcoin in the company's name as part of its chosen treasury strategy.
  • Arrange an assisted trade. Work with the OTC desk to coordinate a purchase or sale and confirm its terms.

Your executive helps you confirm the appropriate process and conditions for your business.

Who can apply, and what to prepare

Business accounts are for companies established as legal entities. Companies from Mexico and a broad range of other countries can apply, subject to Aureo's verification and compliance review.

The documents depend on your company's country of incorporation and legal structure. These examples help you prepare; your executive confirms the checklist that applies to your company.

Example: a company incorporated in Mexico

  1. Formation documents (acta constitutiva).
  2. Public Registry of Commerce registration.
  3. Tax status certificate (Constancia de Situación Fiscal), issued within the past 30 days.
  4. Proof of the legal representative's authority, if not included in the formation documents.
  5. The latest notarized ownership record, if ownership has changed since formation.
  6. Company proof of address, no more than 90 days old.
  7. Identification for the legal representative and beneficial owners.

Example: an LLC formed in the United States

For a U.S. LLC, the requested documents may include:

  1. LLC Agreement.
  2. Certificate of Formation or Articles of Organization.
  3. IRS EIN confirmation letter, confirming the company's tax identification number.
  4. Company proof of address. A bank statement may be suitable; your executive confirms whether the document provided is acceptable.

You will also need to complete identity verification and the beneficial-owner declaration for a foreign legal entity. The team confirms the ownership information and documents needed to establish who can act on the company's behalf.

The Mexican checklist does not automatically apply to a U.S. LLC. If your company was formed in another country or has a different legal structure, your executive will explain the relevant documents and guide you through onboarding.
