Aureo integrates WebLN: Bitcoin payments via Fedi in Mexico
Fedi uses Bitcoin, Lightning and Fedimint to offer private payments, secure communication and data storage through community-run platforms.
Introduction to Aureo and Fedi
Fedi empowers communities with financial freedom through Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. Its mission is to replace centralized gatekeepers with decentralized, community-run federations: networks of trusted nodes that ensure secure, private, and scalable digital transactions. Built on the Fedimint protocol, Fedi’s Federated Operating System makes Bitcoin accessible to all, especially in the Global South, by combining digital wallets, secure communication, and data storage into one community-controlled platform.
Aureo is a non-custodial platform enabling instant Bitcoin-to-peso payouts to Mexican bank accounts, debit cards, and mobile numbers via the Lightning Network. With a simple identity verification process and global accessibility, Aureo makes Bitcoin practical for families, businesses, and individuals.
